Why and How We Sing Together
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:16
Here at Refuge Bible Fellowship, we believe that congregational singing is a vital and joyous part of our life together. It is not merely a prelude to the sermon, nor a performance for an audience; it is a powerful act of worship in which every person has a part to play. As we consider why we sing, the role our musicians play, and the principles that guide our musical worship, it is our hope that we might all “sing and make music from our heart to the Lord” (Eph. 5:19).
